Lifestyle Brand Offers Stylish Range of Compression Socks
HALIFAX, NS – April 8, 2022 – Pear Compression, a Halifax-based company that designs fashionable compression socks, is pleased to announce the launch of its second collection. The company has quickly become known for its high-quality socks that fill a gap for customers, ranging from healthcare professionals to pregnant women.
The company was started in 2020 by Emily MacArthur and her brother Nick MacArthur of Halifax and friend Ryan Brinkurst of Vancouver. They recognized an opportunity in the market for a compression product that was more appealing than existing basic styles. They also predicted a growing demand for the product among healthcare professionals who spend extended periods of time on their feet, pregnant women, travelers and everyday customers.
The new ‘minimalist’ collection will feature four versions of its original knee-high sock in tan, black and white, and a new shorter style in four versions with the same colors. This collection follows their original popular polka dot collection. The socks are manufactured in Italy and all of them feature pressure levels that range from 12mmHg up to 25 mmHg to ensure the most comfortable, wearable compression sock. Some of the newer styles are infused with Silver Dry Stat®, which is a patented technology that offers anti-microbial, anti-odor, and moisture-wicking properties. The new collection retails for $42 for the long length and $32 for the shorter length and are currently available exclusively on the Pear Compression website.
The socks are designed to optimize lymphatic drainage, to improve blood circulation, and to prevent varicose veins, edema, and related circulatory issues. They also provide relief from a variety of uncomfortable symptoms that arise from repetitive and/or prolonged strain on the lower legs and vascular system.
